I watched Nintendo Treehouse and decided to give my 2 cents about Splatoon.

I'll open saying if I had a Wii U, I'd buy it, and this is probably the highest praise I give to any game. The visual are charming, and the game seen like the closest I could get of the fun TF2 experience on a console.

This said…

I found the matches on the Turf mode very short. The streamer died twice and suddently it's already counting down to the match end.

Also, the weapons seen very imbalanced. The Splattershot seen very weak with it's charge mechanic, and it poor ability to paint the scenery made it for a high risk, low reward kind of deal. Think TF2 sniper.

On the other hand, the Roller seemed op. Imagine a Pyro with melee range, but which insta-kill anyone which he touches, and ALSO paint the ground while doing it. Even if you manage to kill him, he covered so much ground so fast you will need rollers on your own side to undo the damage.

Outside that, it seemed like a fun game, and perhaps the game will be balanced in the future. I mean, Demoman used to have SIX grenades in the beta…

It's easy to go in a murderous rampage when your victims are mostly scared unarmed teens.

But being a undead monster with a weapon isn't anything special in the Mortal Kombat universe. Hell, 1/3 of the current cast fit the description.

If anything, people would giggle at Jason crude «fatalities». Like a monkey with a brush trying to do art. No class, no finesse.. just senseless hacking.

Meanwhile people are doing sculptures with their opponents guts, with them still alive and screaming.

The Frieza run of Dragon Ball Z was good. The over-the-topness keep going higher and higher, with people dying and training in heaven and blowing planets out of their fingertips.

But after Frieza died, anything else seemed cheap. Between the «training in heaven» and the Dragon Ball loopholes any foes could be defeated. Did not matter if the enemy had power level of 9 thousands or 9 billions, he would still would be beaten by one of the good guys.

Angie is stronger than Goku fused with Superman riding Exodia while eating spinach, luckily, her power only surges when people ask which fictional character is the strongest.

And this is canon.

I mean, how can one play Splatoon, there are not even Sentries there!

By the way, I have a twitch channel now and will try to stream the comic there and maybe play some games too.

Watched Mad Max this weekend and enjoyed it. It's what I call an honest movie, car chases and explosions from start to finish.

My inner kid enjoyed it, which made me happy. The day I don't enjoy a movie like that it will be a sad day.

Ow shit, I keep putting Witcher 2 on the backburner and BLAM, suddenly, Witcher 3 is out and kicking.

Now I need to dig my old save (if I ever find it) and play the 2nd version.

At least I finished Shante Risky Revenge, thou the game was a tad too easy and has, perhaps, way too much fetch quests and backtracking for my tastes.

Hoping Pirate's Curse (and Bloodrite) to be better.

You know, once upon a time, names like Capcom, Squaresoft and Konami were cherished and praised, but where are they now?

Capcom seen to only care about whatever franchise can give huge revenues, Square embraced mobile and Konami followed year later.

Perhaps you can't be a big videogame studio without «selling out» those days, or perhaps it's hard to be a fanboy on those internet days.

Or maybe, just maybe, those companies really fall from grace and they just doesn't delivery the top quality game they used to.

Such is life.

I think Freeze Mage vs Face Hunter may favor the Hunter, but if the Freeze Mage get lucky with enough Ice Armor he may be able to win.

Both decks are infuriating to play against anyway, which is the essence of Hearthstone.
