The Shangai Major resumes and with it, my coverage of the shitstorm.
This video has the high(low?)lights of the groupstages. Personally, the VIP made me giggle and still don't know the logistics behind lost keyboards.
The main event had Eternal Envy with some allergic reaction to the booth glue fumes so I feel we are in for a good time in the coming days.

Let me put this out of the way: I don't think Korea will dominate the Dota scene. This comic, like many, exaggerate the situation a bit for comedic purposes.
If you follow the League of Legends scene, you see it heavily korea dominated to a point other nations import korean players to boost their roosters, and given how close both games are it's not hard to imagine koreans would fare well in Dota too.
Even with the small popularity and little support (they don't have local servers) the boys from korean MVP managed to reach 4th place on the Shangai Major.
If Dota ever got popular on Korea I'd expect them to be a dominant force in the scene but for better or for worse, the interest just doesn't seen to be there and thus this particular game will remain korean free.

I undesrtand the appeal of leaving the busy urban life and moving to the countryside, but if Stardew Valley show me something is living of the land is backbreaking work.
I only had to digitally water some tiles every day and was already dreaming of sprinklers and iridium hoes… imagine having to do it for real, with my limp limbs.
I'll stay in the city, thank you.

I feel the internet kills a good part of the pleasure of playing Stardew Valley.
Old Haverst Moon games had loss conditions and harsh events which could heavily set you back or made you lose the game, plus a time limit so going for FAQs was a way to lessen frustation of a loss after spending so much time on your farm.
But Stardew has no bad event outside planting too much before a season change and losing your crops and money, and you can always start from scratch since the game offers you way to make (little) money even if you has no crops.
By going on the internet though you learn all the fancy shortcuts, best crops, best build order, best everything and it take up a bit of the fun of the game.
However I don't regret reading several tips because I can't put 1000 hours on a single game and knowing some obscure stuff like «all crop fruits work as good gift for all villagers» save me planning and time.

Noticed how Angie been missing lately? The girl been working hard, trying to make it big.
Today, a NPC, tomorrow… a minor enemy?
Unrelated but I been watching other e-sports and I need to say, to simply watch, Starcraft beats Dota 2. There is non-stop action and it's easier to follow the action.
Meanwhile in Dota there are those stretchs where nothing happens, followed by more nothing happening and perhaps a Roshan kill. Some matches simply have way too much downtime. And disconnects / pauses. Fuck those.
I'd still prefer to play Dota over Starcraft, and grand finals of big dota LANs are always exciting but «regular» pro dota matches can be a bit slow, specially if the meta is farm focused.

I got a cold, nothing big but enough to make working a less than pleasurable experience and yet, comic won't draw itself.
I kind miss when Angie lived with Tentajo because I could make her make one of those silly sick comics. Regrets…
I am halfway thru Avatar (the cartoon, not the movie, or the movie abou the cartoon) and the series improve halfway thru the 2nd season. I'm glad people told me the 1st season was a bit weak because I was intrigued about why people liked the series so much.
The series get good after Toph joins because after that all the characters are properly presented and the story can finally move foward instead of moving around meeting the secondary character of the day.
Also, Sokka is turning into a lady killer. Pretty surprising give he is the comedic relief.
And yes, I know I am very late to the Avatar party. Bite me.
