People joke about Icefrog following Reddit opinion in balance, but I think if a hero is clearly overpowered it's not hard for people to notice.

The next one theorically in the nerf list is Invoker. Will he be nerfed? I'm not sure… Dota 2 right now is very well balanced. Sure some heroes may stand out more but I don't think is nowhere close to, for example, jungle Lycan days.

Still, there is a gap between what Invoker can do in all phases of the game and how the hero escales and, say… Huskar.

Personally, as long as Storm Spirit and Tinker are out of the meta, I'm happy.

Anyway, I found XCom 2 crysalids super lackluster. Imagine Stun Lancers who always one-shot your soldiers and create a new Stun Lancer by doing it, that's how DOS XCom Crysalids used to be.

They were countered by Flying Armor though, and if you advanced slowy you would have plenty of time to shoot him down. The nightmare scenery would be a night terror mission because buildings block line of sight and civilians generate plenty of extra crysalids. Honestly, this is was a invite for disaster and a smart commander would just abandon the mission if he saw a single Crysalid there.

The new Crysalids are so flimsy they only managed to hit one of my soldiers once, and die to a counter-melee attack after that. Honestly, Faceless and Stun Lancers gave me more trouble.

I don't get Viper design… the concept art start looking like they wanted some sexy scaly lady but when they go to the face they went all SUPRISE MOTHERFUCKER and gave her a hideous snake face.

Or maybe it's the creator fetish?

Still, I like the class because it remind me of the original Snakeman, which was one of the few classes not present in the XCom 1. Yeah, I know about the Thin Man but they don't count because they looked nothing like the Snakemen.

I'll probably try to make a cute Viper for the next cheesecake on my patreon.

For some stupid reason I decided I would try to finish an Iroman run on XCom 1.

Mistakes were made.

Several ones, which end up with dead soldiers and failed missions.

I know the theory behind a iroman run, but the best laid out plans can't deal with relocating aliens and one-shot crits.

Have you guys heard about Path of Exile new expansion?

I like the concept behind Path of Exile, the flexible skill trees which can combo with weapons for some kick-ass builds.

However, the grind is for people who loves grinding, and casual babby Diablo 3 grind is already too much for me, there is no way I'd survive Path of Exile.

Maybe one day they'll release a casual-friendly version of the game, though I much doubt it. Luckily there is no shortage of games to play those days, and the PoE fans seen to enjoy the hardcore grinding so I guess everybody wins?

Most of the times I see a game with REAL PVP with PERMADEATH or REAL CONSEQUENCES, they sell the game like a brutal world of vibrant combat but it end up being a group of 10 ganking a lone straggler.

Oh, and Shangai Majors started, here I hoping to some nice matches and drama about chairs and food.

I was worried this major would end up with just the usual complains about food, chairs and monitors, but I'm glad to see China step up their drama game and gave us something for us to chew on.

Nobody knows exactly why James was let go, the consensus is he was «too spicy for tv» with some controversial comments. It's a pity really because I can a future where the casters will turn very «professional» and by it I mean super tame and boring.

The Shangai drama reached epic proportions with Gaben itself descending from Hat Heaven and firing people left and right.

While I have my personal opinion of who is right(er) and wrong(er) on this situation, I will chicken out and keep it to myself. The armies are already picking their sides and I know better than be collateral in the upcoming shitstorm.

If you played Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley plays exactly like that, minus all the annoyances which made the game stressful.

If you didn't play Harvest Moon, it's a mix of dating sim and farming simulator. It's also very addicting.

Decided to buy it to write about it and when I looked behind me I was hours into it.
