Snake Meeter
I like that you start MGSV kind of fricked up and pathetic.
(Psst: if you have the urge to email me and explain how this comic doesn't work because of Very Interesting Plot Reasons, please consider instead writing your email out on a colorful piece of paper, folding it into an origami swan, and eating it)
(I already know)
Old Hat
Does it count as re-gifting if you're the one who gave the gift?
Thank you to everyone who came to my table at A-Kon! It was a super good show, and everyone I met was super great, as always. I ate a taco every single day so I met all of my personal Texas goals.
Unplanned Unobsolescence
I appreciate that, between Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain, the iDroid's software version does actually increase from 1.02 to 3.02, but the functionality does not seem to have changed in almost a decade. Maybe now it has emoji support?
Out Of Scope
Having the Wii U Gamepad as a zoomed-in PRECISION MODE screen seems like a cool idea, until you realize staring into your lap makes it really difficult to drive your spaceship.
Lost In Translation
Sometimes Ocelot just doesn't really feel like helping.
Ill be traveling this weekend, and rather than post a comic one day late I have benevolently posted it TWO DAYS EARLY. Happy birthday, America.
Point of View
Whenever a game's mechanics fall into the category of «I tried this because I didnt think it would work, but then it did», its usually a good sign.
Conservation Effort
Of course I'm not wasting ammo on human targets; I might need to chase a herd of wild donkeys off a cliff.
Hunger Pains
Inevitably, any Fire Emblem food that I cooked would either go to characters that didn't benefit from the stat boost or, even more likely, to the 2/3 of my army that I wasnt even planning to bring to the next battle at all.
Brawlutations
The CQC smackdown icon looks just enough like a salutey-hand that it always feels natural to go for it right after being saluted. It would be more rude to just do nothing, right?!
Spacewalk
Transforming into the arwing chickenwalker seems to summon a mysterious gravitational force to conveniently suck you down to a surface to let you walk around on it, because that's how things work in space. My favorite is transforming in the middle of nowhere and having the thing plummet «down» into infinity.
SECRET LAST-MINUTE NEWS: Ill be at Otakon in Baltimore THIS WEEKEND, WHOAAAA!! Youll be able to find me at the Level Up Studios booth in the Dealers Room, at table block D! Wowowow!
