Bicycle Built for One

One of the weird things about Earthbound – a game so full of weird things that this sentence is meaningless – is that they give you a super fun bicycle very early in the game, which Ness can only ride if he's the only person in the party. You then almost immediately get a second party member, rendering the bike useless for the rest of the game. It's the kind of thing that makes you want to abandon/murder all your friends.

I love Earthbound and I've always wanted to do a comic about it! I have a hard time doing comics about games that are already funny, so this is a personal accomplishment for me.

Another thing I did for the first time this weekend is get engaged! To my boyfriend, who's now my fiance! His name is Norrin and he's my best friend and probably the greatest person I know, and I wanna marry that dude! This has nothing to do with Awkward Zombie and probably won't affect it in any way, I'm just telling you because I THINK IT'S PRETTY NEAT

When you recruit someone into your army, they're very eager to immediately start murdering their former comrades. To be honest, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that kind of person on my side.

Health Notion

Your Inquisition pals will automatically drink a potion if their health gets low enough, but the default setting for how low that is happens to be lower than the default setting for when you get a big obtrusive LOW HEALTH message every time you close a menu. If you don't change these settings, your party tends to seem very complainy.

Alternative Medicine

The solution to all of your problems is the simple act of wrapping a bandage around your arm.

Far Cry 4 is another game – Like Bioshock – where I'm pretty sure you never see what the player character looks like during the game, making it a really good subject for comics where I don't include any other details about what game it's supposed to be taking place in. So: hello, meet Johnny Farcry, this is what he looks like.
