It didn`t take long as Zira`s pride broke apart. One of Zira`s pride sister still were loyal to their new male leader, but few of them were not that lucky with him.
Zira took her chance to convindce them to follow her idea of staying in the outlands, instead of being only a toy for that lion.

«What did you expect? That you were really the only one for him?» Zira asked one of her pridesister, who tried to hold her tears back.
«No…not really», she answered low…«But I have never expected that he would leave me so fast…and that he lied to all of us.»
«Come on», Zira snareld. «He is a rogue! All rogues are like that. They are never someone`s mates for long!»
«I don`t want to be with him anylonger!» One of the other lionesses said.
Zira smiled confident. «Why don`t you sty with me here? I will also not go with him! Should all the other do, but we could live here!»
The lionesses looked at each others. Zira saw that they weren`t not sure about: «Well, didn`t we already traveled long enough in our lives? Why should this be different just with a male in our pride? Maybe this land isn`t the best, but the borders of the Pridelands are next to us. This is the most beautiful land and I quess from time to time we can extract advantages from that. Much more if we followed a rogue without knowing to where…Maybe we will end up in a much poorer place.»
The lionesses nodded. Of course the land around the pridelands` border was only wasteland, but the pridelands itself was beautiful and full of prey and water. Only the possibility to live there anytime was too inviting to leave.
