The Long Haul Is Over
Given the nature of game-as-service and the fact Artifact sold poorly, it's no surprise Valve pulled the trigger. People can say they did not advertise properly or the game required more development but I believe Valve ran the numbers of best-case scenery of a new card game on a saturated market and decided it was not worth the hassle. If A game like TF2 is on life support what chances Artifact have?
I also think the morale of the team was pretty low in working on what is for all purposes a dead game and I am sure most of the team just wanted to finish it and move to another project.
I am glad they gave it a 2nd chance, mostly because I believe somewhere at Valve there is an executive order saying you can't spend time and money on vanity projects which will never see the light of the day. You finish what you started and release a finished product, even if it's one that will not push numbers. Both Underlords and Artifact were completed which is progress compared with 10 years of nothing we had.

Too Easy
Pocky & Rocky is one of those games I love as much as Megaman and Castlevania but oddly, never turned into classics or even a cult classic. It kinda faded from the collective memory and being bombarded with multiple new games every day doesn't help.
I won't say there is anything revolutionary about the gameplay. It's a simple but well-made game, with cute graphics and nice music with a strong Japanese folklore theme. If you are an old weeb like me you'll like it, if you don't you may still like it but your mileage may vary. When I played it I was a small weeb who didn't know what was a tanuki or a Miko and now I am a huge weeb who will probably understand what is happening on the screen now.
In an age where games expected me to watch the lengthy cutscene, grind for levels, and farm daily quests, I crave anything straight-forward where I can just start and play without a hassle.

Whoops
The plot thickens.
I was thinking in maybe playing Pathfinder Kingmaker but the reading about you need to play the game in a certain way to get the best ending and time quests looked like too much stress for me.
I have 6, yes, 6, similar RPGs lined up to play, and picking one pretty much means never playing any of the others because there are always new games being launched and realistically we can't play them all. The games are.
Pathfinder Kingmaker
Baldur's Gate I
Shadowrun Dragonfall
Divinity Original Sin
Pillars of Eternity
Tyranny
All of those have something good going but the idea of putting several hours into a game kind of scares me those days.

NTR
NTR is a pratician fetish - @baalbuddy
To be true NTR, I guess Angie should be the one pushing herself into Jane, but that's Jane not fully understanding it. In a sense, she is too pure.
The true question is, is Morgan into doing shibari, or being subject of it.
The plot thickens!
Also, I made a cake of Angie and Morgan as Pocky and Rocky chars on my Patreon.

No Smurfs
In other news, Valve decided to make smurfing (creating a new alternate account to play on a different rank) a bannable offense.
I am surprised they are doing it because smurfing been doing for so long I was sure Icefrog approved the concept.
I think this is a positive change because a smurf on your game was game-breaking sometimes and perhaps now we'll see more consistency on the player quality.
This said, I'm sure if I decided to try a hero I am not used to people will say I am smurfing because my skill with it will be very subpar. Also, some heroes are just harder to perform well.
All those news kind made me want to play Dota again but I am not sure I need this kind of stress in my life. Still, I am curious of how much the game changed… I heard there is a thing called «money runes» or something now. Nice!
