Nerf Now!! 2181
Managing a game is like driving a tanker ship… sometimes you know you are off course but you don't stop your engines unless you are in colision course.
Mercy is dominating but Blizzard will take it's sweet time and change her on the next balance cycle. Meanwhile, the smart persons among us will pick her and reap the sweet, sweet SR.
This said, if she was a DPS, people would be very salty like on the McCree age. It also helps Mercy is super easy to use so both teams end up with one and the game end up «balanced».

It's happeeeeeeening.
Some of you guys want to know what I think of the update so let's give my opinion based on what information we have right now.
New taunts and cosmetics – Been there, done that. Some are good looking, some are the usual silly shit I hate. So far, I've not seen anything which catch my eye but I'm not big into cosmetics to be honest.
New maps – Lots of maps on this one… I wish there was 2 payload maps but having 1 payload race and 1 regular payload is a compromisse. Of course nobody will play payload race after the 1st week but at least is there. I feel the jungle theme will grow old fast though, with so many maps using it.
New weapon skins – If you really wanted to use X skin on Y weapon, this is the udpate for you. It's a step up from the old format. I could bitch about weapon skins looking silly but let's move on…
New campaing thing – It will make finishing the campaign faster. I did all the campaings and was kind fed up with it, but being able to choose my path and complete it with friends means I may do it this time too.
Pyro Jetpack – I said many times Pyro biggest hurdle is being an attack class with no range and no mobility, forcing him to either lose time going longer routes, or dying in the spammy main road. I hope the little jetpack thing we saw on the trailer signals Pyro is receiving some extra mobility and I feel it can be a game changer.
We still have 2 more days to go so who know what Valve is saving for us?
I may need to take the mini-sentry out of the closet…

The new Pyro weapon looks very nice. I was fearing he would receive some shitty shotgun sidegrade or a melee weapon but those look actually interesting.
I'm curious of how the dragon breath flamethrower will work… belching a fireball perhaps? What about the range and ammo?
The jetpack is a secondary, but if you have a primary which don't need to reload not having a secondary is not that bad. I can see lots of Flyros in the future.
The one I don't really understood is the gas can… do you throw it on people like jarate? People ignite on any damage or just fire based sources? The smoke is a blast which fades instantly or it hang around for a while? Looks interesting but it's competing with the jetpack slot so I don't see much use.
What more can I say? I expect lots of people playing TF2 tomorrow.

At first I though the banana was utter trash but after cruching the numbers I think it's viable.
It heals 200 instead of Sandvich 300, and it have 10 seconds cooldown. Since you'll probably eat when you are below half health usually 200 may be enough, and the low cooldown means you always have available. I definitely ran in situations when playing solo Heavy where I had sandvich on cooldow and would love a second bite.
Also, I'll probably be running Heavy during the Pyro update, taking advantages of all the players trying to outsmart bullet while dispensing banana-fueled justice.

If you playing solo versus the a swarm of pyros without much strategy but with lots of firepower, a lvl 3 sentry is the only thing I found which really give them a pause.
I though the Dragon flamethrower would be weak but the rate of fire is fast and the requeriment of being on fire isn't relevant right now. Maybe it will be weaker when the Pyro craze cooldown but right now they do the job.
I wonder what Valve will do to the heavy (my favorite class) but I'll not hold my breath on it given how long it took for this update to come.

Destiny isn't a terrible, buggy game with bad gameplay. The game part looks fine, I'd say, even great but the triple combo of paying for the game, paying for season pass and stil being asked for microtransactions is too much for me.
I'm sure there are people out there with more disposable income or perhaps less self-control which think it's fine but looks a bit too much for me. It feels like Bungie is trying to see how far they can push the envelope before the inevitable backlash and they won't stop until them.
May as well put a monthly fee and charge for bullets.

This comic is based on real experiences… when playing Heavy and facing the never ending torrent of fireballs I though such strong weapon would have limited ammo and long reload times…. how little I know.
Dragon's Fury have 40 «bullets» and never need to reload. The damage goes like that… 25, 75, 75, 75, 75, 75.. ad infinitum, plus afterburn.
Now, some people say it's not OP if you compare it with the rocket launcher so let me give you some numbers. A direct hit from a rocket does 90 damage (can be less or more depending of the distance) and you have 4 rockets loaded plus 20 loaded, 24 total.
In a solo 1 vs 1 situation, I'd put my money on the Soldier who has more damage and more health, this said…
Team Fortress is a team game so it's common to be fighting multiples, or several people in a row. After dispatching the one enemy, maybe two, the Soldier needs to stop and reload, and he reloads one rocket at time with that sweet, sweet long animation.
Meanwhile, the Pyro just… keep going. The fireballs pierce multiple enemies, put them on fire and has a very generous hitbox.
Now, I'm not saying he is OP yet, but it remind me of the whole Junkrat vs Pharah thing. If you have one hero (Pharah) with superior mobility and high damage, the hero with lower mobility (Junkrat) needs to have higher damage otherwise what's the point? And yes, even with the jetpack Pyro is still clunkier to use compared to Soldier, thou I need to say, not THAT much.
One curious thing I want to point is at some point Soldier had 40 rockets, which made some maps like Dustbowl very spammy. Pyro is basically old school Soldier. I will find very unsual if at least the ammo count of the Dragon's Fury isn't cut down.
Closing thoughts: I think Pyro, specially with backpack, is stronger than Soldier right now unless you are one of those Soldier who are expert a juggling people and very good at rocket jump. Even them you may find the new Pyro isn't the free food he used to be.
