Norrin bought Dragon Age: Origins about a month ago during the Steam sale, and also got Recettear to tide him over until it finished its sixteen-hour download. He played the latter for more a week before even remembering Dragon Age existed, so I guess it must be a good game or something. This is a comic about that game.

Blood Loss

And I played Dragon Age too! Minor spoilers but if it's taken you a year and a half to get an hour into the game you deserve no less.

Most of the cutscenes in this game take place while every character is drenched in blood of some origin. Nobody tends to notice or particularly mind.

I'm also pretty surprised at how many people still play Age of Empires based on last week's response! That makes me really happy.

Unbearable

Actually, the characters in Dragon Age: Origins really didn't seem that put off by stepping in bear traps; they would sort of impatiently fidget until the thing would let go and the blood clouds would stop discharging from their mangled legs. It's really more of an annoyance than anything else, especially when my rogue would fail to detect a trap until someone was already knee-deep in it.

Also, if you have several hours to kill and want to watch me painstakingly draw this comic to the amusement of a chat you can't read, you can do that!

Fighting Fire With Fire Fighting

BACK IN THE OLD DAYS of speculation I was really excited by the rumor that Oshawott was going to be a water/fighting type, and that the other two starters were getting similar interesting combinations. But no, and fire/fighting has claimed another. NOBODY LIKES YOU.

I wish I had a better punchline for this strip! But I really liked the concept, which was from BRIAN.
