What we think is flavored like aliens. The smell is close. The alien might taste different from kraken flavoring.
Could we get a sample? If the cells can be cultured, we can grow enough for a taste test.
If the real thing tastes better, we can use that to make corrections to the mycoprotein flavor.
We should discontinue the flavor. One day, we're going to establish relations with these aliens.
