Since the game is being made by Ubisoft, they are free to pick whatever IP they prefer thus we either have Mario and Rabbids or nothing.

I can get why some would like rabbids, but I'm not one of them. Remind me of pugs, which is a breed of dog some find ugly-cute but others find just ugly. Rabbids are annoyingly-funny but I find them mostly annoying,
