There is a video of the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator and is what you would expect from a next gen flight simulation: the graphics are realistic and the controls and physics seen to be close to the real thing.

For lovers of planes simulators, it's a nice thing but the rest of us will probably just want to crash the planes into stuff.

I kinda want to see how the different fatalities are performed on the T-800. Breaking and cutting limbs is simple enough, but how about the ones where guts go flying? Will we see Intel inside?

p.s.I fully expect someone to point that isn't Sonya costume in Mortal Kombat anymore and her Klassic (with K!) costume is different. This is just to tell people I know and I prefer to use the old one anyway.

I guess Sony isn't confident it can dominate the market solo anymore and decided it's better to play ball, otherwise people may just leave her for other consoles, namely the Switch.

Not for a moment I believe it is doing it for the goodness of her heart. She saw the writing in the wall and is maneuvering accordingly.

Still, it's nice for the player to be able to pick whatever they console they prefer and still play with their friends so this is good news.

If someone from Overwatch is going for Smash, I expect it to be Genji. I think he has a cool moveset and is reasonably recognizable. D-va would be cool but I think the whole de-meka stuff was already covered with Samus.

Before someone says «another sword user» he may just use his sword on his ultimate.

Noita is a fun, but unfair and sometimes annoying game. It's a rogue-lite and has pixel-art so if you hate those things you won't like it.

The best way I can describe the combat is being a helicopter trying to fly a cavern full of enemies, which start weak but eventually grow into fearsome anti-air batteries and while your equipment gets insanely stronger, your health doesn't. All it takes is a couple of nice shots to send you down crashing.

Personal pet-peeve: the game features a limited «torch of light» field of view which limits how much you can see which really strain my eyes. I stopped playing it because I find myself unconsciously trying to «see» what was on the edge of the darkness.

My final opinion is, if you like Binding of Isaac and rogue-lites give it a try, but it's not a game for those who dislike «unfair» games and being blown to pieces in a blink of an eye.

I love mecha stuff but let's just say mechagnomes kind creep me out. They are not unlike Jasen from Deus Ex but while I think Jasen look cool as hell mechagnomes looks like amputees.

By the way, Horde version of Mechagnomes are the fox-looking Vulpera and honestly, they look nice as hell. I expect lots of furries finally ditching their taurens for the cuddliers version.

If you don't get today's comic, here are some interesting news to keep you updated.

Somehow I think today's comic probably put me on some list.

This is a real product by the way.

I started playing old games like Civ IV and Indiana Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark and as long as Steam support old games I think I'll be fine because there are enough old gems to sustain me even if modern gaming drops the ball.

Valve released a patch that fixed some bugs on Half-Life. We are talking about the original Half-Life which was probably coded on stone tablets using a chisel and someone up there somehow decided to dust out some old code and fix some shit.

I have no idea of why some Valve worker, which is probably very skilled and has an expensive man-hour end up fixing the code of such an old game but it happened.

Perhaps was something very simple and our mysterious coder decided to flex some codling skill and do some autumn cleaning. Sometimes is nice to be able to sit down and be able to do something with tangible results.

I don't like the idea of a streaming console. I know the internet is reliable those days but even living in a large city my internet is not rock-solid 24/7 but I can see the idea sticking if it's cheap. Cheap sells, and I can see the industry moving to this format if it sells enough.

This said, the Stadia Controller thing is both hilarious and scary. Negative latency? Predicting inputs? Is this some fancy way to say it will play the game by itself? I guess dropping combos will be a thing of the past and people will blame the algorithm for any loss in the future.
